Our 1st tournament of the new season greeted the anglers with great weather and a lake full of hungry crappie.  The cold front had moved on out and left several days of fall weather before the tournament.  The lake was slightly stained and water temperatures ranged from 54-65.  Luckily the fog was manageable and lifted by 8:30 AM.  The weights showed the lake can be a challenge to find better average size fish.  The age class of the majority of the fish caught seems to show a really good spawn the last two years and should provide several good years to come.  Most anglers caught good numbers during pre-fishing, but the big ones eluded them at tournament time.  Thirteen teams entered the tournament and used every part of the lake to bring in their weigh-in fish.  The average big fish weighed was 1.35 lbs.  77 fish were brought in weighing a total of 70.25 lbs giving and an average weight of .91 lbs each.  Was good to see our previous members and the new members too.  Thank you again to Jiffy Jigs, Moss Back Fish Rack, and A&R Jigs for the door prizes.  Thank You also to Kwik Stop #4 and Crooked Creek Marina for being our hosts.

Congrats to the winners!
