Lake Sinclair - Jan 05 2013

The season kicked of at Sinclair, which normally is a great tournament in January.  Unfortunately the fish and the teams did not show up to compete.  Seven teams toughed it out to see who could get it done when the conditions are less than favorable.  The bad conditions were from the lack of good fish being caught, and not the weather this time.  The weather actually was really nice with cold temps, but very light winds and fair skies.  Water temps were in the upper 40-lower 50's all over the lake.  A light stain on the upper ends of Little River and Oconee River runs.

Thank you to those who came out and competed even when the fishing was tough.

Congrats to another father/son team of Sean and William Bohannon.  They came out on top after weighing in 5.97 lbs.

2nd place was a team of brothers, Steve and Mark Harrison.  They weighed in 4.97 lbs.  Wanted to take a minute to say Steve and his dad Cotton won the last Sinclair regular season tournament and to say we hope you get to feeling better soon Cotton.

3rd place Jamie Moore and Dan Sidle with 4.89 lbs.

Big Fish was a tie between the 2nd place team and the recent Classic Swap Up Challenge team of Lamar Young and Justin Churchwell with a 1.65 lbs slab.

Thank you to Scoggins BP and Crooked Creek Marina for the hospitality.  Also a big thank you to Jiffy Jigs, EZT Pole Perch, Ocmulgee Timber, and Five Star Automotive Group.

Next stop is Lake Blackshear for a J&D Slab Madness Series tournament on Lake Blackshear February 9, 2013.
