Good day with good people once again at Lake Blackshear. Weather turned out great and water temps were getting right for those spawning fish to move up. We had repeat winners from our last tournament.
Congrats again Robert Huff and Tommy Huff who weighed in with 11.95lbs and took Big Fish with 1.98lbs! They fished the shallows in the backs of creeks around cypress trees with Jiffy Jigs and also minnows under corks to catch their winning weight.
2nd place was Kim Maxwell and Dan Sidle with 9.12lbs and also 2nd Big Fish at 1.97lbs. Their fish were caught from docks. They covered a lot of water running from Limestone Creek to below Fort Early and back. They used Taser Jigs and Sore Lip Slabs jigs.
3rd went to Justin Churchwell and Dusty Stewart with 8.39lbs who also worked on the trees and shallow flats in the backs of creeks.
4th was Terry Jones and Dusty Brown with 8.33lbs. 5th was Randy Temples and Ricky Burgamy with 7.43lbs.
Appreciate everyone coming out and glad the weather folks were wrong again too.
Check back often and get ready for Oconee out of the Sav-A-Lot BP on Hwy 44 just North of Lick Creek Bridge on March 28, 2015.
